Dr. Ferdous is a Senior Lecturer/Assistant Professor of International Business Department, Universiti(y) Utara Malaysia (Triple-Accredited Business Schools (AACSB, EQUIS, AMBA)). He has 13 years of research experience and seven years of teaching students from multiple countries, besides supervising Ph.D., Master, and Practicum Report skills. He is familiar with technology-infused academic environments, a blended learning approach, and the HyFlex course design model. He is a Senior Research Fellow of the ASIAN Institute of International Affairs and Diplomacy (AIIAD), School of International Studies, Universiti Utara Malaysia; an Associate Fellow of the Center for Sustainability Research and Consultancy (CSRC). He obtained his Ph.D. from the National University of Malaysia (UKM). Before that, he pursued an MBA (Marketing & International Business; HRM); and a BBA in (Management). After completing his Ph.D., he worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the National University of Malaysia (UKM). He was the recipient of the highest KPI Achievement for the years 2019, 2020, and 2021 by the Registrar of Universiti Utara Malaysia, as well as the Excellent Service Award for 2021. Moreover, he was the Top-5 authors for Clarivate Analytics (ISI/WoS/Thomson Reuters), and SCOPUS indexed journal publication in the UUM COLGIS in 2016. He has published 101 articles, including 46 journal papers in international journals,44 research papers, and six posters/magazines in different international academic conferences, and authored four book chapters and one editorial note. Furthermore, he has acted as an editorial member and reviewer of several ISI/Scopus indexed journals as well as an academic trainer. His research interests include Development Economics; Sustainability of Tourism, Oil Palm, and Palm Oil; Disaster Management; Business Management, Marketing, and International Business, etc.
